What helps Exquisite Cakes stand out from other cake decorators and bakeries is that all of our cakes are iced with buttercream icing and never covered with fondant. We use an icing technique thats makes buttercream icing have the smooth look of fondant. This technique makes the cake taste amazing and delivers a flawless finish. Cakes covered with fondant can be done upon request. The biggest compliments we receive are the taste of our icing and the moistness of our cakes.
About The Owner
Hello, my name is Gwenn Buesching, owner of Exquisite Cakes. I have over 15 years of experience in the culinary industry and have worked for some of the best pastry chefs in St. Louis. My experience ranges from a pastry chef for the Hilton, to being a supervisor in the pastry department at Ameristar Casino. I have both a Culinary Arts and Marketing degree which has helped me excel in creating and managing Exquisite Cakes. I have a passion for art and enjoy incorporating it into my cake creations. I have at this time decided to stop making cakes so that I could spend more time at my other job, being a stay at home mom. I feel that those quality years with my children will be short and want to cherish every moment I can with them. Thank You for understanding and I hope I can make cakes for you in the future!
